McAllen TX - The City of McAllen and Hidalgo County Precinct 4 will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday, Aug. 14, 2026, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Garza Park, 2601 Lark Ave., to celebrate the installation of new outdoor fitness equipment at five McAllen parks.
The ceremony will be attended by Mayor Javier Villalobos, the City Commission, City Manager Isaac J. Tawil, McAllen Parks and Recreation Department leadership, and Hidalgo County Precinct 4 Commissioner Ellie Torres.
New outdoor fitness equipment has been installed at the following locations:
Camp McAllen, 8701 N. 23rd St.
McAllen Youth Baseball Complex, 8201 N. 29th St.
La Floresta Park, 1800 W. Stanford Ave.
Morris/Perez Park, 1400 W. Trenton Rd.
Garza Park, 2601 Lark Ave.
