McAllen TX - The City of McAllen has released results from its 2026 Community Satisfaction Survey, showing McAllen scored above national and Texas averages in several areas.
According to survey results, 84% of residents reported being satisfied with McAllen as a place to live, 82% reported satisfaction with McAllen as a place to raise a family, 77% reported a feeling of safety, and 73% reported satisfaction with McAllen as a place to work.
The survey also identified community priorities, including mobility, focused on traffic and congestion and pedestrian access; infrastructure, focused on streets and stormwater; public safety, focused on police visibility and emergency management; and city services, focused on code enforcement and animal care.
City officials thanked residents who participated in the survey, saying the feedback helps the city understand what’s working, where it can improve, and what matters most to the community.
