McAllen, TX - The International Museum of Art & Science will host PNC Adventure Day, a free early childhood event for families with young children, on Wednesday, March 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Admission will be free throughout the day as the museum offers special programming designed for toddlers and preschool-aged children. Activities will focus on foundational learning, sensory exploration, creativity and guided discovery in a hands-on museum setting.
Program partners scheduled to participate include the UTRGV Red Rover Reading Program, the Early Head Start Program Family Services Coordinator from UTRGV, E & C Read-A-Loud, Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas represented by Daniela Mascorro, and the Junior League of McAllen. Organizers said the activities are designed to support early literacy, play-based learning and family engagement.
Families attending the event will be able to take part in storytime sessions, interactive learning experiences and creative activities tailored for children ages six and under. Museum officials said the event is intended to create a welcoming environment where young children can explore science and art concepts through play.
Food vendors will also be on site during the event with snacks and refreshments available for purchase. Vendors scheduled to attend include Gordee’s Munchies and Mobile S-nack.
The event will take place at the museum located at 1900 W. Nolana Ave. in McAllen.
