McAllen International CarFest set to bring hundreds of vehicles, live entertainment to convention center

McAllen, TX - The McAllen International CarFest will return to the McAllen Convention Center this weekend, marking its 16th year with a three-day event featuring more than 300 vehicles, live music and family-oriented attractions.
The annual car show is scheduled for Friday through Sunday at the McAllen Convention Center and adjacent Oval Park, 700 Convention Center Blvd. Organizers said the event will feature vehicles across nearly 100 categories, including muscle cars, classic and imported models, exotic and concept cars, hot rods and race cars.

CarFest opens Friday from 4 to 9 p.m., continues Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and concludes Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
In addition to indoor and outdoor car displays, the event will include two music stages with live bands and DJs, an arcade zone, a food truck park and local vendor market, a beer garden inside the exhibit hall and an automotive swap meet. Family-focused attractions include a 50-foot LEGO racetrack and a scheduled meet-and-greet with Rowdy, the mascot of the Dallas Cowboys.
Other featured activities include a Texas Tops Showcase and a Parade of Cars planned for Sunday at sunset following the event.
Admission tickets available
Admission is free for children ages 12 and younger. Tickets are $12 for students ages 13 to 18 and seniors 60 and older, and $15 for general admission. Discounts are available for military members and first responders with valid identification. Tickets may be purchased online, at the McAllen Performing Arts Center box office or at the gate during the event.
