McAllen, TX - The City of McAllen has launched its 2026 Resident Satisfaction Survey, a community assessment conducted every four years to measure public opinion on city services and priorities. The survey, administered by ETC Institute, will collect statistically valid feedback from McAllen households to help guide future planning and decision-making. Invitations to participate will be distributed by mail from March 27, 2026, through May 15, 2026.
Survey purpose
According to the announcement, the survey is intended to help city leadership better understand resident perspectives on municipal services and quality of life. Mayor Javier Villalobos stated that community input plays an important role in shaping policy decisions and service delivery. City Manager Isaac J. Tawil said the results will help inform strategic planning and allocation of resources in the coming years.
Key topics
The survey will gather feedback across several service areas including public safety, infrastructure maintenance and parks programming. Additional focus areas include customer service, communication, code enforcement and overall satisfaction with city services. Officials said results will be aggregated to represent community-wide input across neighborhoods and demographics.
Participation process
Residents may complete the survey online, by phone or through mailed materials. Individual responses will remain confidential and anonymous, according to the city. Findings will be presented publicly after completion and will be used to measure progress and compare McAllen’s performance with similar communities nationwide.
