McAllen, TX - McAllen Memorial High School senior Eloy Lozano signed to compete on the baseball team at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio during a ceremony held March 2.
Lozano plays first base, outfield and designated hitter for the Mustangs. The signing marks his commitment to continue his baseball career at the collegiate level.
College program background
Our Lady of the Lake University competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and is a member of the Red River Athletic Conference. The school’s athletic teams are known as the Saints and compete in several varsity sports, including baseball.
The university launched its athletics program in 2007 and later added baseball in 2014 as part of its expanding intercollegiate sports offerings.
Lozano is expected to join the Saints baseball program in San Antonio following his graduation from McAllen Memorial High School.
