McALLEN TX - The McAllen Public Library is accepting school supply donations at all three of its locations through Saturday, July 25, in preparation for its Back-to-School Bash scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Palm View Branch Library.
Donations are being collected at the Lark Branch Library, 2601 Lark Ave., (956) 681-3100; the Main Library, 4001 N. 23rd St., (956) 681-3000; and the Palm View Branch Library, 3401 Jordan Road W., (956) 681-3110. The drive runs from Monday, June 1, through Saturday, July 25.
Needed items include backpacks, binders, blue and black ink pens, calculators, crayons, coloring pencils, erasers, folders, glue sticks and glue bottles, highlighters, index cards, lunch boxes and bags, markers, notebook paper, pencils and mechanical pencils, pencil boxes and pouches, pencil sharpeners, rulers, sanitizing gel, scissors, composition notebooks and spirals, and subject dividers.
Teens from across the Rio Grande Valley are welcome to earn community service hours at the Main Library by donating supplies.
