McAllen, TX - McAllen Public Library will continue its Financial Literacy Series in April with two remaining sessions focused on fraud prevention and managing healthcare expenses. The educational series features guest speaker Joanne Ureste-Armijo from Prairie View A&M Extension and is designed to provide information on financial planning topics relevant to community members.
Session topics
Session two of the series, titled “Protecting Against Financial Scams & Fraud,” is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, at 2 p.m. in the Main Library auditorium. The presentation will focus on identifying financial scams and understanding strategies intended to reduce risk and improve financial awareness.
The third session, “Managing Healthcare Costs & Insurance,” will take place Tuesday, April 14, at 2 p.m., also in the auditorium. The session will address considerations related to healthcare expenses and insurance coverage as part of broader financial planning.
