MCALLEN, Texas — McAllen Public Library and Raising Cane’s will kick off the Día de los Niños Book Drive with a community event from 6 to 7 p.m. April 6 at Raising Cane’s, 7417 N. 10th St., in McAllen.
The event invites community members to participate in the book drive and meet Marty the Library Cat.
Book Drive Initiative
Organizers state the Día de los Niños Book Drive supports literacy efforts by encouraging book donations as part of the annual celebration recognizing children and reading.
The initiative is held in partnership with Raising Cane’s and aims to engage the community in supporting access to books.
Event Details
The kickoff appearance will take place during the evening hour and offers an opportunity for attendees to participate in the drive and connect with library representatives.
