McAllen, TX - McAllen Public Library’s Teen Department will host a pop-up library event Thursday, Feb. 12, at Love Letter Coffee, offering teens an opportunity to engage with library services outside of a traditional branch setting.
Event details
The pop-up library will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at Love Letter Coffee, located at 7824 N. Ware Road, Unit 1. The event is geared toward students in grades six through 12.
Library services and activities
During the event, teens will be able to check out books, sign up for a McAllen Public Library card and participate in a “Blind Date with a Book” activity. Additional offerings include a mini library setup and coloring pages.
Availability of materials will be limited, according to library staff.
Community outreach
Library officials said the pop-up is part of ongoing efforts by the Teen Department to connect with youth through community-based programming and increase access to library resources.
