McAllen, TX - The McAllen Public Library will kick off its spring Homeschool Hangout series this week with a program designed for elementary-aged students and their families.
The first session is scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m. in the Children’s Storytime Room at the Main Library, 4001 N. 23rd St. The program is recommended for students in grades one through five.
Library officials said Homeschool Hangout offers homeschooled children an opportunity to connect with peers through structured activities. Planned activities include arts and crafts, games, prizes and social time with other homeschool families.
Additional Homeschool Hangout sessions are scheduled on select Fridays throughout the spring, including Feb. 13 and 27, March 13 and 27, April 10 and 24, and May 8. All sessions begin at 11 a.m.
