McAllen TX - The Lark Branch of the McAllen Public Library has announced its September lineup of children’s, teen, adult and family programs, including events celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month, observed Sept. 15 through Oct. 15.
Programs include Once Upon a Literacy Day on Sept. 8, Where It Clicks! on Sept. 8 and 24, Family Game Night on Sept. 8, Short Story Circle on Sept. 9 and 23, The Jigsaw Social on Sept. 9, Chomp & Create on Sept. 10, Tummy Time on Sept. 11 and 18, and a Mexican Fiesta on Sept. 12.
Hispanic Heritage Month programming includes Once Upon a Hispanic Heritage Month on Sept. 15, Sculpting with Air Dry Clay on Sept. 15, a Homeschool Art Zone session on Sept. 16, a Lark Book Club meeting presented as part of the South Texas International Book Festival’s VIP Book Clubs series on Sept. 17, a Bidi Bidi Bom Bom Watch Party on Sept. 19, a Legendary Mexicana Mini Piñata craft on Sept. 23, and a Raíces on Canvas painting workshop on Sept. 26, which requires registration.
Additional programs include Toddler Time, tied to Library Card Sign-Up Month, on Sept. 22, Adult Coloring on Sept. 23, and Adult Tiny Canvas on Sept. 29.
