McAllen, Hispanic Heritage Month, Saltillo, Diplomacy, Cross-Border Partnership

McAllen TX - The City of McAllen will host a morning of diplomacy on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 10 a.m., celebrating longstanding connections between McAllen and Mexico, as part of the city’s annual National Hispanic Heritage Month celebration.
The event, to be held at the McAllen Performing Arts Center, 801 Convention Center Blvd., will welcome members of the diplomatic corps, government officials and business leaders, including city officials from Saltillo, according to the city.
Mayor Javier Villalobos, the McAllen City Commission, City Manager Isaac J. Tawil and city leadership are expected to attend. The event will feature keynote presentations from the City of Saltillo highlighting cross-border collaboration, economic partnerships and shared opportunities for growth.
Doors open at 9:30 a.m.
