McAllen, TX - The City of McAllen Passport Division and Vitals Office will offer services on select Saturdays throughout 2026 to provide additional access for residents, city officials announced.
Saturday service availability
Saturday operations will begin Feb. 7 and continue Feb. 21, with additional dates scheduled throughout the year. Services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, and no appointments will be required.
The 2026 Saturday schedule includes Feb. 7 and 21; March 7 and 21; April 11; May 16; June 13; July 18; and Sept. 19.
Services offered
During Saturday hours, residents may apply for a U.S. passport book or passport card, both federally accepted forms of identification. The Vitals Office will also provide birth and death record services.
Hours of operation
The Passport Division will operate from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., while the Vitals Division will be open from 8 a.m. to noon. City officials noted the passport kiosk may close before 4 p.m. depending on customer volume.
Payment and requirements
Customers are encouraged to arrive with all required documents. Passport application fees must be paid by check or money order, while cash is accepted for processing fees and photos. Credit cards will not be accepted.
