McAllen TX - Sesame Street Live: Elmo’s Got the Moves will come to the McAllen Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2026, at 6 p.m. The production is presented by Round Room Live and features Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and other Sesame Street characters.
The interactive show encourages children and families to participate through songs, dance moves, and physical activities including yoga, jumping rope, cartwheeling, and dancing. Featured songs include “Sunny Days,” “Elmo’s Got the Moves,” and “Letter of the Day.”
City Manager Isaac J. Tawil said the production reflects the city’s commitment to broad arts programming.
“Bringing experiences like Sesame Street Live to McAllen gives families an opportunity to come together, make lasting memories and enjoy meaningful moments,” Tawil said. “We work hard to bring the caliber of programming you would expect to find in a major metropolitan area. And there’s something especially exciting about experiencing Sesame Street Live in our intimate theater setting which gives families an up-close experience and makes them feel like they are part of the action.”
An exclusive Photo Experience offering photo opportunities with Sesame Street characters will be available on site for an additional fee. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the Photo Experience.
